What is hyperbaric oxygen therapy?

During therapy, you’re exposed to air with about three times the pressure of the air you breathe every day. This means your lungs can gather more air than they would breathe normal air.

You sit in a vertical chamber made by Summit to Sea®, which is of benefit because you breathe easier sitting up, rather than laying down. The chamber allows you to breathe the hyperbaric oxygen in deeply so your organs and tissues benefit. The treatment is painless and highly effective.

How does hyperbaric oxygen therapy work?

Your blood transports oxygen throughout your body. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy optimizes the delivery of oxygen so it reaches all areas of your body that need it. With hyperbaric
oxygen therapy, your body is better able to:

You may go in for hyperbaric oxygen therapy on a continuous basis. Your sessions may be scheduled weekly, several times a week, or more intermittently — such as once per month.
